Rainpower Associates -  We design, construct and service rainwater collections systems in the Texas Hill Country area.  Rainwater harvesting is simply collecting rain which falls onto roofs, then storing it and using it as a free resource.  Rainwater catchment systems can be as simple as a gravity fed system for watering the garden.  At the other end of the scale, these systems can have large storage tanks, filters, and pumps which will supply all water uses in your home such as showers, baths, washing machines, toilets.  Inclusion of a UV filter produces the purest drinking water available.

  • Rainwater is well known for its purity and softness.

  • It has a nearly neutral pH, and is free from by-products of water treatment, salts, minerals, and other pollutants present in well or city water.

  • Reducing the consumption of treated water is by itself of tremendous advantage to the environment.

  • Plants thrive when irrigated with stored rainwater.

The advantages of rainwater over groundwater are endless.  A few of those advantages are: The food and liquids, such as tea and coffee that you brew taste like you always thought they should.  You haven’t really lived until you have experienced a rainwater bath or shower.  Your hair and body feel “squeaky clean”.  Gone, too, is that tightening feeling as the residues of soap and all those chemicals dry on your skin.  You will notice that your hair and scalp feel really clean.  No more itchy scalp or stiff, “fright wig” hair.  You will discover that you need much less soap anywhere you use soap.  Your dishes and glasses will dry spotless.  Your clothes will come out of the washer really clean and fresh smelling.  Rainwater is naturally soft.  You will no longer need to ad fabric softeners.  Mineral scale on all of your fixture surfaces and faucet valves will be a thing of the past.  Foggy, spotted glass shower doors and tile surrounds and windows cease to be a factor on cleaning day.  The water you use in your daily life is also a quality of life issue.  Why not afford yourself the Gold Standard of quality water?

Trunk Line and Downspouts:   The water that falls onto the roof, spills into the gutters and is conveyed to the trunk line by the vertical downspouts.  The trunk line is a horizontal pipe lying on or below grade level that joins all the downspouts into one pipe.  The pipe system is sealed and water tight.

Rainpower & Associates believe in simplicity.  In that interest, we have designed this water delivery system, composed of the highest quality components available today, to be as simple to operate as is humanly possible.  There are no unnecessary bells or whistles.  Other than the water moving through your house water pipe system, there is only one moving, mechanical part: your pump motor and impeller.
